On the site, there are most different building models situated: one- to multiple-aisles production halls and storage depots, multi-storeyed factories, administrative- and studio-buildings. The manifold range of hall- and storey-spaces as well as the flexible floor plans allow for a multifaceted and contemporary utilisation.
It is the stated aim of the proprietors to establish a mixture of uses for the buildings, which on one hand allows for a long-term conservation and support of the stock of monuments, and on the other hand clears space for new sophisticated utilisations. It is envisaged to embrace art, culture, science and technology in a mutually stimulating atmosphere.
Modern recreational facilities shall replenish the aforementioned utilizations. On this terrain, artists, film industry people and students shall be represented just as well as service and production offices.
A first step has been made, as one can see under our column Tenants. Building 79 is one example for the successful conversion of a vacant former industrial building into a lively, inventive and modern studio building. Here, a multitude of artists keep their studios.
